beeswax is fun

Craftivity 001 Here's our latest craftivity - using melted beeswax and various collage pieces.  Bring in your own images for a personalized collage.  We've got the blocks of wood, beeswax, mini iron and crayons for added color.  Photocopies, magazine and catalog pages work best.  Photo paper is a little too thick.  I like beeswax because if you make a mistake, you just re-melt and pick up the piece of paper and move it to where you want it.  Plus it gives a very translucent look to papers; I think it adds interest when text and pics from the back show through.  I do love working with beeswax, and have a whole bunch of those wooden blocks.  Today was quiet at the store, the cold and slow of winter begins...  But I had my little collages to work on so that was fun.  I'll have to think of some more projects.  I'm waiting for flat back buttons to arrive and then the button restocking can begin in earnest.  I have lots of terrace chair buttons to make!
